Winter/Spring 2008

• Watch for the fancy Half Arabian Khadraj mare “Delightful PGA” in the Hunter Futurities this year. The Padgham/Deering Partnership are the proud new owners of this great moving mare. LaRae Powell, agent.
• Look for Skylar Powell on his new Purebred Reining Stallion, TA Giovanni by *Kordelas. This handsome colt was 2007 U.S. National Top Ten Reining Futurity. LaRae Powell, agent.
• Rod Powell has a new Quarter Horse Reining prospect by Colonels Lil Gun. This Dark Bay 2 year old gelding, Sonofa Lil Gun, is already going undersaddle and has a great mind. Look for him next year at the NRHA shows.
• Colby Powell and Cowgirl Up will be a pair to reckon with this year in the JTR Reining and Pleasure classes. This fancy dark bay mare is not only pretty, but super athletic. LaRae Powell and Kit Hall, agents.
• Dave and Shirley Thielman have a new Scottsdale Futurity Reining Prospect for 2009. This fancy, hard-stopping bay gelding will surely be a contender. LaRae Powell, agent.
• The Padgham Family have a new Purebred Hunter for their daughter, Corinne. Julieus EVG is already a winner in the Hunter Pleasure Jr. Horse division just this last weekend at the Rally In The Vally show with Cheryl Fletcher. LaRae Powell & Bob Purtee, agents.
• Maria Danieli Krueger is the new owner of No Way Jose. This Half Arabian/Quarter Horse Gelding by Doc N Jose (AQHA) will be a contender for the 2009 Scottsdale Reining Futurity. LaRae Powell & Kit Hall, agents.
• Congratulations to Wolf Springs Ranch in Colorado on the purchase of the National Champion Purebred Gelding, HF Hale-Bopp. Look for “Bopper” in the Western Walk-Trot division at Youth Nationals. LaRae Powell & Greg Harris, agents.
• Look for the cute pair of Krista Taylor and With A Twist in the Hunter Pleasure Walk Trot divisions this year. Krista along with her mom Liza are the new owners of this multi champion Hunter. LaRae Powell, agent.
• Rainwater Insurance is once again the proud owners of their own bred WCF Mia Donatella. “Mia” will join their broodmare band to carry on the line of her National Champion sire “Marykov +//.” LaRae Powell, agent.
• Leah Mckinney Laurence has a new reiner added to her show string. National Champion Half Arabian, BSF Gunsmoke will be an exciting one to watch for in the reining classes this year. LaRae Powell & Greg Harris, agents.

Winter 2007/2008

• Silver Aspen Ranch wishes continued success to Maudie Roe of Florida on the Purchase of the National Champion Western Pleasure Stallion, “Arktik”. He is truly a “One of a kind” horse. “Arktik” will continue his show career in the 50 & Over AAOTR Western Pleasure division under the guidance of Josh Quintas. LaRae Powell and Josh Quintas, agents.
• Congratulations to Leslie Gillett on her purchase of the winning half Arabian hunter mare “Chianti”. Look for this pretty mare in the Hunter pleasure division in 2008. LaRae Powell, agent.
• WCF Wal Mark, a Purebred Grey Gelding by Marykov, has a new home in Illinois. He will continue pursuing his western pleasure career with trainer Brian Scoggins. LaRae Powell and Brian Scoggins, agents.
• Look for National Champion Western Pleasure gelding “Khrossroads PGA” in the H/A Jr. Horse and AAOTR divisions this year with new owners, Dr. Mark and Jacqueline DePaolo. This will surely be one to look for in 2008. LaRae Powell, agent.
• Rainwater Insurance has added a new Purebred Bay stallion to their show string for 2008. The beautiful Western & Hunter pleasure winning “AECLIPSE” and Susan Rainwater will make their debut this year in the Western Pleasure AAOTR division. LaRae Powell and Sarah Paripovich, agents.
• Congratulations to Charles & Tina Armijo on their purchase of the beautiful Khadraj NA Purebred Gelding “Mugatu”. This fancy 3 year old will be one to look for in the Western Pleasure futurities in 2008. LaRae Powell and Jeff Schall, agents.
• Look for “LD Quest For Glory” in the Jr. Western Pleasure division this year. This unique Black Bay gelding should be a star in the making for Silver Aspen Ranch.
• Terri Deering and Barrie Padgham have a new partnership with the fancy Psymadre son “My Foolish Pleasure”. Look for this grey gelding in the Half Arabian Western Pleasure Jr. Horse division in 2008.
• WHAT THIS ????? LaRae Powell has gone back to her family’s roots and bought a Quarter Horse. Look for the fancy Palomino Stallion “What Whiz That” at the NRHA shows this year. By the NRHA Money earning “Who Whiz It” by Million Dollar Sire Topsail Whiz and out of NRHA Money Earning “Chic Out Mamma by NRHA Million Dollar Sire Smart Chic Olena.
